William V. (bill) Tingle

 

WILLIAM V. "BILL" TINGLE passed away Feb 13, 2003, at a Katy hospital. He was born on April 10, 1923, in Caney, OK. He grew up in Pasadena, TX, attending the schools and played football at Jackson Jr. High and Pasadena High School. He was in the Naval Air Corp in WWII, attaining the rank of Ensign. He played football for Rice Institute and U. of Houston from 1945-49. He taught and coached at Galena Park and Spring Branch ISD. Bill is survived by a wife, two children and two grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers. Memorial services will be held at Pattison United Methodist Church in Pattison, TX on Feb. 22, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at Fellowship Hall 11:30-1:30. Memorials can be made to Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Inc., Woodholme Medical Bldg, Suite 515, 1838 Greene Tree Rd., Baltimore, MD 21208. Baylor College of Medicine will benefit from the donation of his body for study.
